Marco Salort becomes commercial director of Chep Spain after crossing Africa and the Middle East – El Mercantil

Supply chain solutions company Chep has announced the appointment of Marco Salort as the company’s new commercial director in Spain. The manager, who until now has overseen the company’s commercial activities in the Middle East and North African markets, will become part of the team that Vicente Mollá, General Manager of Chep Spain, has been managing in Madrid since late 2019. Salort’s contribution focuses on the Strengthening the company’s role “as a leader in the regenerative economy, promoting its position as an innovative company and building important partnerships through sustainable initiatives” and “strengthening the protection of the ‘wealth culture'” in all commercial equipment of the Spanish division by Chep.

Salort’s main responsibilities at Chep focus on people development, customer experience and digitization. “I hope that my experience in other markets will help promote the company’s digital culture,” said the new commercial director of Chep Spain. For his part, Vicente Mollá has argued that the creation of Salort represents “a qualitative leap” since “his experience will give us his international vision and will help to digitize the company and place it in a more competitive position”.

Marco Salort holds a degree in Environmental Management and several Masters degrees in Quality, Environment and Occupational Risks. Before becoming Chep’s Commercial Director in the Middle East and North Africa in 2019, he also led the company’s Last Mile Solutions business on a European scale. According to the company, Salort has “many years of experience in corporate and category management, packaging, product development and sustainability in the areas of logistics, wholesale distribution and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG)”, which he acquired after his time at companies such as Auchan Retail and Ecoembes.
