The Textile Technological Institute (Aitex) has published the list of finalists for the Aitex 2022 Business Awards. Of the 76 national projects presenteds, a jury of experts selected the fifteen finalists of this edition according to the value proposition, the innovation and sustainability of the proposal, the quality and the results obtained. There are five companies for each type of participation: textiles, cosmetics and entrepreneurship. From this edition’s finalists 53% come from the Valencian Community and 46% from the rest of Spain.

A jury made up of high-level representatives from the textile and cosmetics industries, business and academia evaluated the submitted projects on the criteria of value proposition, quality of the submitted proposal, innovation and sustainability, as well as results achieved, socio-economic impact and environmental impact.
The winners and runners-up will be announced during the awards ceremony on November 24th at 6:00 p.m. in the IVAM-CADA Alcoy. The winner of each modality will receive an economic endowment of 20,000 euros, with 10,000 euros being the amount that the runner-up will receive. dish out like that a total of 90,000 euros in prize money.
The event also features a professional seminar at the highest level by Laura Durán, Director General for Business Development and Sustainability Member of the Management Committee of IKEA Spain.
Laura Durán will introduce the product design method at IKEA known as “democratic design” with her presentation “Business Expansion and Sustainable Development”. He will also talk about IKEA’s ‘People and Planet’ sustainability strategy, which explains how new business development has been implemented at IKEA in Spain.
He began his career in investment banking in Brussels and London, where he worked for the Morgan Guarantee Trust. He later moved to Barcelona where he took a turn in his career and started his career in marketing at the newly formed Vueling. He led the External Communication, Social Networks and Market Intelligence department before joining Media Markt to drive the company’s digital transformation and e-commerce launch.
In 2015 she joined IKEA Spain in the Marketing Department and in 2017 as Marketing Director. She was recently appointed General Manager for Business Development and Sustainability, leading expansion, innovation, and transformation and sustainability.
